This is another of a series of paintings inspired by my experiences working at showjumping competitions, when I had a chance to work with amazing sport horses and observe best riders in action!

“At a glance” – how much time exactly does an athlete have to assess the situation and, based on previously counted strides, prepare for the next jump?

Everything happens so quickly, experience and intuition come into play, and a horse is, after all, just an animal, unpredictable and not entirely controllable. This makes this sport even more fascinating and exciting to watch!
